Mom’s Molasses Bars

Ingredients

1½ cups Namaste Foods Perfect Flour Blend
½ cup oil, shortening, butter or margarine
½ cup sugar
1 egg
½ cup molasses
½ cup water
½ tsp salt
1½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground cloves
½ cup raisins

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly spray or grease 9x13 pan.
  2. Cream together oil, butter or margarine and sugar. Add the egg and beat well. Add the molasses and water and beat well. Sift together the flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and clove. Add to molasses mixture, stir in raisins.
  3. Pour in pan and bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
