Ingredients

1 cup Namaste Perfect Flour Blend or Namaste Organic Perfect Flour Blend
1/2 cup quinoa flour
1/2 cup cooked dal, mashed. You may use toor/tuver,mung or masoor/red lentil dal
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1 tsp. turmeric powder
1 tsp. roasted cumin seed powder
1 tsp. brown sugar or honey
1/4 tsp. red chili powder (optional)
1-1/2 tsp. olive or coconut oil
Salt to taste
2 Tbsp. warm water, if needed
* Namaste Perfect Flour Blend for dusting
* Ghee/coconut oil/olive oil to drizzle (optional)

Directions

  1. Mix together the flours, dal, yogurt, turmeric and cumin seed powders, brown sugar or honey, chili powder, the oil and salt and knead together. Add the two tablespoons of water, if needed, to form a soft dough. Cover and let the dough rest for about 30 minutes or so.
  2. Divide the dough into 9 parts. Roll each part on a surface dusted with Namaste Perfect Flour Blend, to about 9 inches in diameter.
  3. Roast the roti wrap on a griddle heated on medium heat. Turn the roti wrap and roast on the other side. Repeat the process of rolling and roasting with the other 8 parts. Drizzle the wraps with a few drops of ghee, coconut oil, or olive oil, if using.
  4. Store in a container until ready to use.
